We are pleased to welcome our new intern, Franca Silvestri from Italy.

Franca has always been interested in languages and, for this reason she decided to pursue a degree in Modern Foreign Languages, improving her English, learning Portuguese and some Croatian too. Throughout her studies, she found translation to be very interesting and still does today.

During her university years, Franca spent a year on the Isle of Wight working in a high school as an Italian language assistant. Following her graduation in 2006, she spent 3 months in Porto for an internship in the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Portugal.

Franca’s work experience in manufacturing companies exporting their goods abroad has allowed her to use her languages every day. Franca is also currently volunteering as a translator for a website which deals with the environment, rainforests and animals.

Franca was immediately interested in the Hieroglif International internship as it provides an opportunity to pursue her passion for translation and have feedback, which she will really appreciate.

Her other interests include: reading, especially classics and thrillers and she also adores travelling. She tries to spend every holiday, each year in a different country in order to get acquainted as much as possible with different cultures.

We wish Franca every success and hope this will be an exciting and useful experience  for  her!
